Literal Knowledge about HTML

Tim Berners lee and his colleagues from the CERN, the Eureopean Particle Physics Laboratory, invented HTML. The primary aim was to distribute text called the Hypertext over the internet. In a hypertext, one document is linked to another document through cliched, they take you to another document.
HTML has evolved from the markup languages. IBM first created the General Markup Language (GML), which  later changed to the Standard Markup Language (SGML). HTML is an extension of SGML and become the standard method of writing Web Document.
